We have several places assigned for entertainers and street performers. Each area has its own set of requirements, rules and regulations, please make sure you qualify for the area you are interested in.
ALL PERFORMANCES MUST BE FAMILY FRIENDLY! Interaction with audience encouraged.
Our David Johnson Stage and Who’s on 3rd fill early but send your information for our records and cancellations.
David Johnson Stage – Courthouse Lawn
5:30 – 8:30 p.m. two breaks
You will be required to send and provide links to your demos and videos, press package and recommendations from other venues or event managers you have performed for.This is a paid contract with a max fee. You may sell CD’s but cannot play for tip.
o Bands with a strong local following
o Event and night club experience
o Cover music; oldies, rock, blues, country, etc upbeat and fun
Who’s On 3rd – 3rd and Main
5:30 – 6:45 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:15 p.m.
One break each set, you may take both sets if approved.
This is a smaller but growing stage area. Minimal amplification and/or acoustic environment. There is a small budget for performers depending on experience. You may be compensated under contract or play for tips only.

Second Avenue
5:30 – 8:30
No power on this stage. A canopy may be provided if available.

Main and 2nd intersection 5:00 – 8:30
o Non musical entertainment such as clowns, balloon artists, etc.
Civic Center Plaza 5:30 – 8:00
o Dance and gymnastics
o Martial arts
o Special event hosted by non-profit group; Parades, contests, demonstrations, etc.
We are working hard to give performers exposure for entertaining the crowds at the Market.
Entertainers get exposure by:
o a listing in one of the Market ads with the Hillsboro Argus highlighting the different entertainment acts.
o a mention on participating radio stations, public service announcements, if possible.
o exposure on the Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace website, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
o references to other events.
The Market’s Entertainment/Special Event Committee will jury the applicant and will contact approved entertainers throughout the entire run of the Market Season, as space is available.
